Empezando el año ..

* 2008 . Llega el príncipe .

Recordáis que mis sobrinas me pidieron que dibujara una princesa saliendo de su castillo ? ... Pués bien, les gustó tanto que lo querían colgar en su habitación de Sant Pol y, claro, era demasiado pequeño para colgarlo solo y necesitaba otro que le hiciera compañía !!!

Así, ahora y aquí os presento al príncipe que llega al castillo en busca de su princesa !!!

Ahora, en su habitación , están colgados , uno encima del otro, los dos cuadros !!!!

2008. Como pez en el agua.

Sabeis que me gustaría ser más constante actualizando mi página.

Algunos de vosotros os moveis como pez en el agua en este mundo bloguero, actualizando con frecuencia vuestro blog y buceando , de vez en cuando, en busca de novedades en nuestras páginas.... A mi me cuesta mucho más encontrar tiempo para dedicarle...

Debo reconocer que lo que no me cuesta tanto es ponerme a dibujar y, aunque vaya haciendo años, me gusta coger el lápiz , de vez en cuando, para hacer algún dibujo.

Aquí tenéis uno de los que formaron parte de la colección de sobres de azúcar. Os acordáis ?

Una serie de...

* 2007/2008. Hadas! … Una serie de dibujos que se terminará cuando esten hechas todas sus componentes. Aquellos que siguen este blog sabrán que esta es la tercera entrega de esta serie. No todas ellas has sido colgadas en el blog porque alguna no llegaba, para mí, al mínimo exigido para ser expuesto en la galeria.




La verdad es que, en esta entrega, veréis dos de sus protagonistas , antes y después, de transformarse. Sus nombres ? ..jajjaja .. Ésto nos lo deberían responder sus destinatarias que creo que, aunque hayan pasado algunos años desde que empezé a pintar la primera, ellas, ya adolescentes, continúan disfrutando de ellas.

2007. Poco tiempo para ….

No todos los trabajos se realizan pensando en obtener una obra para exponer o enseñar. A veces necesitas dejar de buscar el motivo y la técnica perfectos para un tema. Son aquellos momentos en los que tienes poco tiempo para pensar en qué harás , pero la mano te pide hacer algo...

Sé que este tipo de trabajo no es material para mostrar en una exposición , pero ésta no es una galeria convencional. Es mi galeria particular en la que quiero mostraros todo aquello que forma parte de mi material ...

Todo tiene su qué y su por qué aún teniendo poco tiempo para ...

Este dibujo lo realizé en cretas sobre papel de embalar.

Contemplando ...

2007. Contemplando …. Obra (sín título).

Creeís que un pastor contempla el paisaje que le rodea de la misma manera de cómo lo hacemos nosotros? …

Esta obra la realizé a partir de una foto que encontré muy bonita. En ella ví a alguien que contemplaba su paisaje cotidiano con la actitud de aquel que lo admira por primera vez !!!! … Este pensamiento me hizo reflexionar y ... vosotros qué diríais? …



Por cierto, después de esta reflexión un poco filosófica, qué título le pondríais a esta obra? … Espero vuestras sugerencias …

Una gran estrella

2007. Una gran estrella .

Desde que era niña, había oido a mi madre decir como le gustaba la actriz Audrey Hepburn y , como se acercaba su 65 cumpleaños, pensé que le gustaría tener un recuerdo de esta idoletrada actriz, de belleza enigmática que gustaba a los hombres y con la que las mujeres les gustaba verse reflejadas...

Además, quise encontrar una fotografia que tuviese para mi madre un bello y antiguo significado.



Aquí teneis el resultado de pintar una fotografía de la actriz en la mítica película "My fair lady" , basada en la obra de teatro "Pigmalion", representada por mi madre, hace ya unos cuantos años y con la que gozó del teatro y con el que ganó , incluso, algún que otro premio de interpretación.

El gato en la serie "Animalia"

2007 . El gato en la serie “Animàlia” .

Recordáis aquella serie de animales que fue inmortalizada por el grupo de coleccionistas de sobres de azúcar de Manresa ?........................(Fira de l’Ascensió, 2008)



Pués éste, que hoy os presento, es el gato que formava parte de esa serie y que, después de la exposición de mi obra, quedó en esa misma ciudad.

Espero que la podáis disfrutar durante muchos años,familia Montenegro-Pallarès . Besos,desde Barcelona.

Un encargo comprometido

• 2006 - 2007 . Un encargo comprometido.

Un dia de verano, en Sant Pol de Mar, compartiendo almuerzo con una buena amiga de muy lejos, ésta me confesó que se había enamorado de un rincón de nuestra Costa Brava y quería que se lo inmortalizara pintándole un óleo para colgarlo en su recien estrenado piso en Barcelona. Yo ,feliz de su confianza en mi "arte", me comprometí a hacerlo.... El parto fue largo ... Aquí teneis el proceso de su realización...

Sigue la saga ....!!!

• 2006, 2007,… Sigue la saga ...

Parece que éstas no se acaben nunca pero sí, lo harán el dia que las haya dibujado todas o , bien, el dia que mis pequeñas clientes ya no lo sean tanto y ya no quieran saber nada de las Witch ….



Debo dedir que , de momento, la producción que empezó en 2005 continua y, si todo va bien, según lo que tienen previsto mis clientes, se terminará pronto !!! …

Aquí tenéis dos de las últimas , pero no las últimas, en realidad ... La saga continuará ...

Después de algún tiempo ...

* 2006 . Tiempo de estudios.


Siempre ,después de algún tiempo sin pintar, retomo mi trabajo realizando algunos estudios de naturaleza muerta . Es la manera de reencontar confianza . Realizando estos bocetos, dibujo sin presión y los realizo poniendo en marcha rápidamente mis recursos...







Estudios realizados en poco más de 2 horas... Aquí teneis 2 muestras. Otros siguen en la carpeta y otros , sin ningún remordimiento, terminaron en la papelera.

El retorno

* De un verano largo y especial


Desde hace algunos posts , no he seguido una dinámica cronológica y he dilatado bastante mis entradas en el tiempo.

La verdad es que han sucedido y todavía se suceden hechos buenos y otros no tan bueno que hacen que le dedique poquito tiempo a mi blog.

Pero , ahora, después de un tiempo sin publicar, quiero enseñaros un dibujo que este verano, muy especial para toda mi familia, he dibujado para mis sobrinas, Claudia y Gabi , a las que , por primera vez después de muchísimo tiempo , les he dedicado esta obra . Nuestra princesa que sale de su injusto cautiverio en el castillo... Para vosotras, mis princesas !!! :)

Poca dedicación...!!!

Estos dos últimos meses han estado llenos de actividades y de algún que otro hecho que me han llevado a tener un poco abandonado mi blog y , como consecuencia, también los vuestros.

Ahora sí que debo deciros que cierro por vacaciones y nos vemos a la vuelta , en Septiembre, con fuerzas renovadas...



Y os dejo con alguien que decidió irse , de este mundo, sin casi despedirse !!! Una afección respiratoria fulminante se la llevó !!! ... Un beso muy fuerte para mi pequeña “Grisa” , de sus compañeros de piso, Mel, su compi gatuno y yo, su compi humana !! Te recordaré siempre , mi pequeña “bolita”.

Este cuadro lo realizó una buena amiga que, además de una gran pintora, es también una gran amante de los gatos !! Desde aquí, mi rincón , muchos besos , Eila

Desde la antigüedad hasta nuestros días, encontramos muchas y muy diversas obras dedicadas a la naturaleza muerta. Muchos pintores tenemos algunas de ellas entre nuestra producción y muchos han llegado a ser considerados unos verdaderos especialistas.

Since a long time, we find a wide range of still life works. Most of painters have some of them among our production and some painters have come to be regarded as true specialists.

En el estudio, tenemos algunas piezas no caducas que utilizamos porque, de vez en cuando, dejamos de lado los temas que nos gustan y volvemos a buscar, haciendo estudios al natural, volúmenes, proporciones, profundidades, colores, tonos,...

In the study, we have some pieces that we draw because we put sometimes aside the issues that we like and we look for, doing studies to natural, volume, proportions, depths, colors, shades, ...



En esta ocasión, os muestro un estudio al natural realizado al óleo sobre papel ,papel de embalar !!! . El efecto que se consigue con esta técnica sobre este tipo de papel me gusta. Es más fresco, directo y rápido que trabajar sobre tela.

This time, I show you a oil painting done on paper, wrapping paper!. I like the effect achieved with this technique on this type of role. It's very cool, direct and fast.

Un paisaje muy distinto / A very different landscape

•2005. “El desierto de Arizona” / "Arizona’s desert”.

La verdad es que recuerdo perfectamente cuándo decidí hacer este dibujo ... Quería hacer alguna cosa en la que tuviesen más importancia los colores que las propias líneas del dibujo y pensé que los colores tierra del desierto de Arizona sería bastante apropiados para este experimento.

The truth is that I remember very well when I decided to do this picture ... I wanted to make something where colours were more important than drawing lines and I thought that the colours of Arizona’s desert land would be quite appropriate for this experiment.


Creo que estaréis de acuerdo conmigo en que el resultado, en estilo, difiere bastante del resto de mi producción... Quizás buscaré otros motivos con los que seguir experimentando.. Qué pensáis vosotros?

Gratificante !!! / Rewarding !!!

Siempre que algún pequeño me pide que le haga un dibujo y lo llega a colgar en su habitación es porque le ha gustado de verdad y, eso, para aquellos que dibujamos, es muy gratificante.

Whenever some children ask me to draw a picture and, finally , they hang it on their bedroom’s wall , it means they really liked it and, therefore, it is very rewarding for the painter.



Aquí tenéis dos dibujos de dos de las “Witch’s” . Éstas fueron las dos primeras de una serie que todavía queda por terminar pero que, gracias a la insistencia de mis pequeñas clientas, pronto se finalizará. En total serán unos diez dibujos, unos mejores y otros no tanto. Algunos de ellos verán la luz también en este blog , más adelante. De momento, aquí os presento a Will y Taranee.


Here you have two drawings of two of "Witch's." These were the first two in a series that there are still unfinished but, thanks to the insistence of my smaller customers, will be completed soon. En este caso, quise empezar un estudio de dibujo al natural y al ver que con él podría realizar un buen trabajo, fui más atrevida y me lancé pintándola con acuarelas.

I started to draw a drawing from life and I saw that it could be a good work. So, I was more daring and I painted with watercolors..



El resultado me sorprendió gratamente. Así, “Bodegón 2”es otra buena “pieza” que cuelga de las paredes de mi casa. Ésta , claro, en la cocina.

The result surprised me pleasantly. Thus, "Still Life 2" is another good "piece" that hangs from the walls of my house. This, of course, in the kitchen.

Las primeras obras expuestas son, con el Nuevo Año, los retratos realizados, por aquel entonces, de mis dos sobrinas.

El año 2007 ya terminó !!! …El 2008 acaba de empezar !!! y… , segurísimo , que será mucho, mucho MEJOR !!!...Porque muchas cosas cambiarán este Nuevo Año !!!!.... Aquí las tenéis. Para vosotras, Claudia y Gabriela !!!

Unos perritos , ... por Navidad. Little dogs , ... for Christmas.

Su pequeña propietaria hacía tiempo que les recordaba a sus padres que quería un perrito, pero cómo sabia que su deseo no se cumpliría, yo le prometí que esas Navidades le dibujaría unos perritos para su habitación.

Y aquí está el dibujo que, aunque no es una gran obra de arte, hizo feliz a su destinataria y sobretodo, también, a sus padres.

Its little owner had been asking for a puppy to her parents for a long time but as she knew that her desire wouldn’t come true, I promised that I would draw some puppies for Christmas.

And here you have the Picture. Although it is not a great work of art, it made her happy and also her parents.

Y recordad... NO REGALEIS ANIMALES POR NAVIDAD !!!.

Quizás se cumple con el deseo de los más pequeños pero cuando crecen, sino han sido acogidos de manera consciente y responsable, pueden llegar a molestar, sobrar y, quizás, acaben siendo abandonados en cualquier cuneta.


Los animales son seres vivos y quién los regala debe recordar que eso implica que alguien debe hacerse responsable de sus vidas. Disfrutemos de la Navidad, también, con nuestras mascotas.



And remember ... DO NOT GIVE PUPPIES FOR CHRISTMAS!!! They are a real present NOT A TOY!!!.

Perhaps we comply with the child’s desire but when they grow up, if they have not been bread in a conscious and responsible way, they can become annoying, remaining, and perhaps end up being abandoned at any road. Animals are living creatures and those who make this gift must remember that it means that someone must be responsible of their lives. Let’s enjoy Christmas, together with our pets.

Mi gran pasión / My great passion

Quizás algunos de vosotros podrías llegar a pensar que tengo una cierta obsesión por los caballos !!!!...pero no se trata de eso, sino que es una verdadera pasión la que siento por ellos, desde pequeña !!!.

Some of you might think that I have an obsession with horses!!!... but it is not true because I feel a real passion for them since I was a child!!!.

Con 8 años ya pintaba cebras… La llamada de África ya viene de lejos !!!... Y con poco más de 10 años ya me dibujaba montando!!!... Así que, de siempre, dibujos de caballos, caballos y más caballos,…

When I was 8 years old I painted a zebra… The call from Africa started very early !!!and at 10 years I drew myself riding !!!... So, always drawing horses, horses and more horses,…


Ahora ya de mayor, además de poder disfrutar de ellos, continuo dibujándolos y pintándolos… Por cierto que muchos son los que me dicen que empieza a ser hora de pintar a mi preciosa yegua …Mi queridísima “Lluna”... !!!...Algún día ,…!!! Pronto, pronto !!!!... Porque ahora empiezo a tener suficiente material para hacerlo…

En este curso, me decanté por iniciar con otra técnica – el lápiz- y otros temas – la figura (animales y personas) - …..
El resultado, el que veis …. In this course, I started with another technique –pencil - and others topics - figure (animals and humans) - ...
The result ... The horse is one of my favorites ... but the figure is hard work, it needs a lot of technique and will.

Cuando algún niño descubre que dibujas es muy, muy... PELIGROSO porque empieza una etapa de ...continua creación ...!!! :-0

Pero la cuestión es que ,sean ellos o no quién escoja el tema, son EL PÚBLICO MÁS AGRADECIDO , ;-)

A partir de este año, los dibujos infantiles constituyen una parte de mi trabajo.

Espero que, también, los disfruteis aúnque su finalidad ha sido, en gran parte de ellos, hacer felices a mis pequeños “clientes” antes que intentar conseguir la máxima calidad artística.

Aquí va la primera entrega. Unos dibujos de los que disfrutan sus propietarios en sus habitaciones...

Siempre cuando vuelvo al estudio en Septiembre, me cuesta coger de nuevo el ritmo.Por ello, intento hacer algunos estudios cuando regreso y en Septiembre del 2001…


los trabajos resultaron suficientemente interesantes cómo para hacerles un sitio en las paredes de casa… pero las paredes de un apartamento son limitadas y, cada vez más, los trabajos nuevos pasan a engordar las carpetas del estudio..!...

Bien, quizás, pronto podré plantearme la posibilidad de hacer alguna exposición..! Ya me lo iré pensando…

When I return to the art study in September, I have some problems to take the brush again. That’s why I try to dry some studies when I return and in 2001…


the works were so interesting that I hang them up on my house walls but the walls of a small apartment have limits and lately, the new works go to fatten the folders of the art study.!

Well,.., perhaps I’m gonna be ready to do an exhibition soon !

Well,…sooner or later, I’ll think about it!!

* 2001. "Chimpanze" , cretas. Al principio, este cuadro fue uno de mis trabajos del que pensaba que no seria capaz de darle fuerza y no se cómo fue que un trazo, o quizás gracias a una musa,cobró vida.

* 2001. “Chimpanzee” , hard pastels drawing. At first, this picture was one of my works I thought that I was not able to recover it strength and I don’t know how one chalk mark gave it life.

Era el mes de Julio y estaba en la terraza del estudio disfrutando de unas vistas únicas que algún dia deberia pintar, por cierto (a izquierda, Hospital Sant Pau ; al frente, Torre Agbar y Puerto Olímpico ; a derecha, la Sagrada Familia)...

It was July and I was in the terrace enjoying unique views which I should paint them someday (on the left, Sant Pau Hospital ; in front, Agbar tower and yachting harbour seascape ; on the right, Sagrada Familia )...

Entonces, algo sucedió y no sé cómo aquella cara de mono se transformó en lo que ahora es!. Así , hasta ahora, lo considero uno de mis mejores trabajos en cretas.

Then, something happened, I don’t know how but that monkey face became what you can see now! Now I consider it one of my most incredible chalk works.
Creo que aquellos que dibujen o pinten entenderán lo que estoy intentando explicar. Lo haces tuyo, lo disfrutas y intentas que llegue, de una o otra manera, a todo aquel que lo contemple.
I think that those of you who draw or paint will understand what I am trying to explain. You make it yours, you enjoy it and you try to make it “move” whoever is watching it.
Espero que lo disfruteis tanto cómo yo lo hize al pintarlo.

Y el primer retrato de una pequeña niña de 4 añitos que es ahora casi una señorita...Debo decir que la modelo es mucho más guapa pero entonces no pretendia pintar una copia de su fotografia porque ese no era el propósito del ejercicio. Durante el año 2004, en una próxima obra, conocereis más en detalle a esta linda señorita.

And the first picture of a little girl of 4 years old who is almost a young lady now!...I should say that she is more beautiful but then I didn’t want to paint a copy of her photograph. It wasn’t the purpose of the exercise. Well, you will know her better in a next work of art from 2004. Then you will see the face of this little lady.

• 2001 ." Otros paisajes ", acuarelas . Y, de nuevo, cambiamos de año y de técnica, y os presento unos nuevos paisajes . En este caso, llenos de sensaciones de melanconia , no?...

Flores / Flowers

• 2000 . “Flores”, acuarela. Con esta serie, empecé a descubrir esta técnica que confieso que me fascina !!!... pero es muy, muy difícil.. Cuando empecé a pintar acuarelas, pensé que llegaría a romper muchas por no gustarme su resultado. Con esta técnica, debes sentirte capaz de ser exacto, preciso,... Yo siempre decido no empezar nada sino me siento bien para hacerlo. Creo que es un gran medidor de equilibrio emocional!!!??? Porque , precisamente, trabajando con la acuarela, el agua y el color se deben mezclar en sus correctas cantidades, tal y cómo las justas cantidades de serenidad y pasión que nos llenan y nos hacen sentir plenamente vivos, incluso a veces, completos.



• 2000. “Flowers”, watercolours. I discovered watercolour’s specialised painting with this serie. I have to say… I love it!!! But it is very, very difficult. When I started to paint watercolour works, I thought I would break most of them because I didn’t like the result. You need to be so exact and precise with this specialised painting then I have decided not to start with it when I don’t feel strong enough for it. I think it is a great emotional balance meter!!!??? Precisely,... when working with watercolour, water and the colour have to be mixed in their correct measure, just like the measured qualities serenity and passion that fulfill us and make us feel alive and complete.

Menorca

* 1999. “Menorca”, óleo . Este pequeño paisaje rural menorquín lo pinté para una familia muy especial para mi que, ese mismo año, se mudó a su nueva casa. Luce muy bien colgado en su comedor !. También debo decir que de sus paredes cuelgan otras obras que ya iréis descubriendo en esta galería. Sí, creo que son unos de mis principales fans !Un besote !!!...

* 1999. “Menorca”, oil painting. I painted this small landscape of Menorca for a very special family, who moved to a new house in 1999. It looks nice on their living room wall !. I have to say that they have several of my works of art hanging on their walls. You will find them in a future in this gallery. I think they are of my best fans!!! Kisses!!!...

Salvajes / Wilds

· 1999. “Salvajes” , cretas. En este caso, un gran sueño me llevó a hacer una serie de dibujos... En ese año, quería hacer un safari por Kenia y Tanzania pero dos motivos de peso me lo impidieron, mi abismal alergia a las picaduras de insectos y... el coste económico de la aventura!!!... Bien, la verdad es que no descarto la posibilidad de realizar ese sueño si alguien me puede prometer que los mosquitos y otros bichos voladores no me producirán una reacción adversa!!! Y , hasta que no llegue ese momento, voy dedicando alguno de mis trabajos... a estas maravillas. Aquí tenéis un par de ellos.

· 1999. “Wilds” . Hard pastels drawing . A big dream brought me to draw this set of drawings. I wanted to travel to Kenia and Tanzania in 1999 but two important reasons decided me against going... I am very allergic to insect bites and in addition it was very expensive!!!... Well, I don’t rule out going there someday if someone can promise me that I will not have a negative reaction to insect bites!!!... So , whilst this moment doesn’t come, I dedicate some of my works of art ... to these wonders. Here you have two of them.

Ardilla / Squirrel

* 1998 . “ Ardilla” – óleo . Y cómo no, mi primer estudio al óleo hecho sobre papel con un motivo, de nuevo, animal!!

* 1998. “ Squirrel” – oil painting . And as you could have expected, my first oil on paper was another animal.

Marina / Seascape

* 1998 . "Marina" -óleo . Una pequeña marina. Un recuerdo especial. Ésta fue la primera pieza al óleo que pinté.

* 1998 . ""Marina" - oil painting . A little seascape. A special memento. It was the first sea study that I painted.

Guepardo / Cheetah

* 1997 . "Guepardo" - carboncillos .Cómo podeis ver, la presencia de motivos del reino animal es muy importante al largo de mi obra. Soy veterinaria y estoy segura que este hecho ha sido clave!!!...pero , de aquí en adelante, podreis disfrutar también de otros temas , aunque los animales seguirán siendo parte esencial.
* 1997 . "Cheetah" - charcoals drawing . As you can see, the animal kingdom is an important part of my art. I am a vet and I am sure that influences me . Starting now,you are going to enjoy others subjects although the animals will continue being an essential part.
